Munster Landed Estates Database


On Friday 20 May 2011 the Munster Landed Estates Database was launched at the Moore Institute at N.U.I.G. The database is a comprehensive resource guide to landed estates and historic houses in Munster c. 1700 - 1914.  The database is searchable by estate name, family name or house.Information on estate/ family /house appears and a guide to all known sources relating to your search, including location of collections. It will be a very useful tool for anyone interested in this area. The Moore Institute has previously published the Connaght Landed Estates Database which has been a resounding success.
